As you can see, I am new at blogging. It's slowly but surely coming together! I am so happy that a friend from  The Teacher Wife has made a new blog showing newbies like me how to design and add goodies to our blogs.  You may notice the arrow at the bottom right side of the screen. It's from her blog! She's so talented! I can't wait to see what she blogs next!!

2. Mimio and Hover Cam-If my projector or hover cam ever break, I will have to get a second job to replace them. I've already warned my husband!
3. Mr. Harry's Kindergarten on You Tube. He brings so much life to my Calendar Math!
4. Teacher Pay Teachers-How did we ever live without it?!?!

Story Of True Sportsmanship!

Tomorrow night is our 1st foot ball game of the season. Go Bulldogs!!   This game will be bitter sweet. Here's the story...On December 5, 2011, our coach and his wife had just returned home from taking a player to state so he could participate in a game. It was bedtime so Amanda was going to run the puppy out one last time before going to bed. As she went out her back door, a robber shot her and proceeded to shoot her husband too. Thank the Lord that he didn't hurt their 3 year old little girl. Amanda didn't survive. This community has mourned her loss ever since she left this Earth. Amanda was a speech therapist at my school. We were also in Sunday School together.  She was the kindest, most loving, sincere Christian that I have ever known. As I said, tomorrow night is our 1st game. Amanda's favorite color was purple. Our town is wearing purple to the game in her memory. Our opponents are ALSO wearing purple out of respect. Wow!! That is true sportsmanship!!

First Day Jitters...Really?

I survived my first week of school! Although I miss hanging around the house with my kids, I like my life being back to normal.

Here's a funny...On the first day of school I read First Day Jitters. I had never read it before. Usually I read a book before I read it to the class but I have seen so many post about this book that I knew it would be safe to read aloud.  So I begin reading the book and truly think the man is a dad. At the end, the kids and I were SO surprised! It's such a cute book!!

Today was our 2nd day of school. My students are excited to be back.  I will be glad when we get into a routine!!
